What a private session is

Private sessions are the heart of Equine Gestalt Coaching. They’re slow, unscripted, and built around whatever you bring in the door that day.

You’ll spend time with Lizette and one of her herd — grounded, present, and completely supported. The horse responds to what’s real in you. Lizette helps you name what’s surfacing. That’s how the work moves.

No horse experience required. See What to Expect for a walk-through of a typical visit.

“The horse doesn’t need you to perform. You don’t have to know what you want to work on. You don’t have to have the right words. You just have to show up.”

— Lizette Lobpries

A space built for slow work.

Outdoor. Quiet. Held by the horses and the land.

What a private session can hold

Deep personal work

Grief, transitions, anxiety, creative blocks, relationship patterns — whatever you arrive carrying.

Full presence

No distractions. No one else’s story to manage. Just you, the horse, and a trained guide.

Paced to you

Sessions unfold at your pace. Nothing is forced. Nothing is scripted. You’ll leave when you’re ready.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Private sessions, answered

How long does a private session last?
Sessions vary, but most run 90 minutes to two hours. Lizette will confirm length when you book.
Do I need to ride?
No. There is no riding in Equine Gestalt Coaching. The work happens on the ground, with the horses as partners.
Can I bring a friend or partner?
Private sessions are designed to be one-on-one with Lizette and a horse. If you’d like to bring someone along, ask Lizette — some pairs work better as a group session.
What if I don’t know what I want to work on?
That’s normal. Many clients arrive without a specific topic. The horse responds to what’s present in you, not what you announce.
Do I need to be in crisis to book?
No. Private sessions support people in many places — from acute grief to mild “something’s stirring and I can’t name it.”
