You don’t have to be ready.

For clients carrying the weight of trauma, Lizette brings a trauma-informed lens to every session — creating a container where healing can happen without re-wounding.

Trauma-informed coaching isn’t a separate service — it’s a way of working. Every session with Lizette is already paced, permissioned, and held with care. But some people need to know, explicitly, that their history will be met with safety. This page is for them.

“Nothing is required of you except presence. You set the pace. You choose what to share, when to step back, when to stop.”

— Lizette Lobpries

Slow is the point.

How trauma-informed work is different

Choice at every step

Nothing happens without your consent. You can stop, shift, or sit out any part of a session.

Body-first

We track the nervous system — yours and the horse’s — before we track the story. Regulation precedes content.

No retelling required

You don’t have to recount what happened. The work can be done without words if that’s what’s safer.

Who this is for

People who have done — or are doing — therapeutic work and want something embodied alongside it. People whose nervous systems don’t respond well to “just talking.” People who tried other modalities and need a slower, quieter path.

This is not a replacement for clinical mental-health care. Lizette works in partnership with therapists and practitioners when that’s what serves you best.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Trauma-informed work, answered

Is this a replacement for therapy?
No. Equine Gestalt Coaching is a coaching modality, not licensed psychotherapy. It can complement therapy beautifully, but it doesn’t replace clinical care for serious mental-health conditions.
I’ve been re-traumatised by other modalities. How is this different?
The pacing comes from your body, not from a curriculum. There’s no required sharing, no surprise prompts, and no pushing through. The horse helps regulate the nervous system before any deeper work happens.
I don’t want to talk about what happened. Is that OK?
Completely. Trauma-informed equine coaching is one of the few modalities where the work can happen without words. Your story is yours to share or keep.
Will Lizette coordinate with my therapist?
Yes, with your written permission. Lizette regularly partners with licensed clinicians as part of a wider care plan.
What if I need to stop mid-session?
Then we stop. There is no penalty, no debrief required, no pressure to explain. Your nervous system gets the final vote, always.
